you fair warning

Ok, I have had the summer off, taken a break and am thinking I will resume the blog for the winter. I discovered that the website is paid for until next March anyways, so I might as well be using it. Thank you again, to all of you who helped support the site.

To be honest, I have missed talking to all of you.. There are about 300 readers who follow fairly regularly and some of you actually comment to let me know who you are…

One of the reasons I was frustrated and took a break in June was a comment I received that “they had heard all my stories two or three times before” so therefore.. yada yada yada, never mind. The implication being I was a silly old woman endlessly repeating herself. Hurt my feelings. Whatever, it’s done.. I took them off the distribution list.

So if any of you are tired of reading my stories, please do leave. I won’t stop you. Off you go.. But in the near future there are going to be lots of posts of how the garden progressed over the summer, how our water held out, wildlife sightings and what we have planned for the winter. There are bound to be updates on E’s chore list as we progress and with any luck the nature channel will entertain.

There will be plenty of sunset pictures but please be aware, I am likely to be talking about topics you have heard all about before. I give

you fair warning….

  2. Yes!! We were just talking to Island neighbours last night about how much we miss your blog. It’s always well written and entertaining. And as a non-gardener, I can live vicariously through your posts! So glad you’re back. Hugs, Barrie and Sue

    Haters gonna hate Fuck um

Your blog is one of the reasons we came and also one of the reasons we want to stay. I’m glad you’re going to keep sharing.

  4. Glad to hear you are coming back! I don’t blame you for taking a break after that rude, hurtful and unnecessary comment. I for one amongst many, enjoy your stories! There is always something that brings a smile, a tear, a memory or a bit of knowledge. And I love the nature channel! Love Syd

    • Thank you…. You, among few others understand how we appreciate that we are able to live this life here after what E went through. I love that you follow the blog and see that all your hard work was not in vein…!!! Stay in touch……

  7. Delighted to hear you are going to be sharing your corner of the world with us again. We only met once on the island in summer 2015 but it left a lasting impression and I love that your blog keeps me in touch with your life off grid.

The circle of life and the coming round of the seasons is part of the joy of living – nothing is ever quite the same when it comes round again. And if your disgruntled reader doesn’t like that he/she can choose to opt out. As for me, I’m staying!

Looking forward to the next one.

  8. So happy you are back, and hopefully past March. Besides, don’t you always have a glass of wine when writing? Hate to stop that tradition 🍷

  9. I’m so glad you are bringing back your blog! Quite frankly I don’t understand why someone who has a problem with the content feels it necessary to make a comment like that – just leave. Don’t read it. Go away. Be miserable somewhere else.
I love hearing about your water, garden, island events, etc. That’s why I’m subscribed. Besides – the stories all seem new to me (I’m old and forgetful).
Anyway, I’m glad you are coming back. I’m looking forward to catching up on all your news.

  11. I was so tickled to see your post tonight! I was just thinking a few days ago about all the sea creatures you must be seeing! And I do love your photos of the paradise where you live!

I’m glad you deleted the hateful person. Just think what a joy she/he must be to be around!! But it is nice to know you can just push a button to delete her!! I would LOVE to have one of those buttons!

Meanwhile I’m the the Great Red Tennessee amid all the rednecks that I don’t agree with! LOL!! But I get to stay home too where their stupidity is less obvious to me so I try not to worry too much about the state of our country (even though I do worry about the future all the time). And I pray everyday for some miracle to save us. Say a few of those prayers too!! We sure do need them.

I will try to bring you some happy posts to entertain you through it all. I have a great video for you.. I will post it tomorrow..
